(01) [8/10] Head Like A Hole

One of my personal favorites of Nine Inch Nails' discography, also one of the most popular songs (beyond The Downward Spiral which will continue to shadow over every review I write in this project). It's a REALLY good first song for this album. It feels substantially less flat than Down In It did, which is one of my favorite aspects of Nine Inch Nails' music.

(02) [7.5/10] Terrible Lie

This song is a lot more heavy handed and slow than Head Like A Hole. If Head Like A Hole is this albums equivalent of a pop song (meant to be catchy and popular) this song is way more in line with what most people would expect from Nine Inch Nails in my opinion. It still manages to reach the same heighs as Head Like A Hole though, just through its own style and vibe, which is great if it was a single but next to Head Like A Hole it feels like a small road bump in the overall flow of the album, which is why I docked it half a point. Also because I can do whatever I want it's my review bitch. The synth breakdown in the later half of the song is SUPER catchy as someone who loves electronic music, too.

(03) [3/10] Down In It

Please see my review of the EP version of this song (which I made before I realized it was in this album).

(04) [6/10] Down In It
